Motor Insurance
汽車保險

Motor Insurance generally falls into two scopes of coverage, namely Third-Party Liability cover and Comprehensive cover. As Hong Kong's statutory requirement, you are obliged to take out at least Third-Party Liability cover to assure your legal liabilities to third parties for their casualties when operating any private vehicle, motorcycle, or commercial vehicle, and you can also take out additional cover for third party property damage. On the other hand, Comprehensive cover includes Third-Party Liability and "all-risks" coverages on the insured vehicle, the latter defined as the insurance policy assuring all conceivable risks unless an exclusion applies.

You are entitled to a No Claim Discount (NCD) of your premiums at a specified percentage, subject to review every year at the time of renewal, if your Motor Insurance has not paid under a claim in the previous policy year. Your premiums are also determined by your age and the time you have held a driver's licence.
